Roy Hodgson interested in talking to Leicester City about manager's job - Sky sources

Roy Hodgson could be in the running for the Leicester City jobFormer England manager Roy Hodgson is interested in talking to Leicester City about the vacant manager's job, Sky sources understand, but it is unclear whether they consider Hodgson a candidate.

Claudio Ranieri was sacked on Thursday despite the Italian guiding them to a shock title win last season, after the Foxes were drawn into a relegation scrap following a run of five consecutive Premier League defeats.

Only four people - Leicester's chairman Khun Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, vice chairman Khun Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha, chief executive Susan Wheeler and director of football Jon Rudkin - are involved in discussions about the future manager, although none of those are divulging any information about the process.
It is thought Craig Shakespeare will continue in his role as caretaker manager for Saturday's game against Hull, after leading the team to an impressive 3-1 win against Liverpool on Monday night.
Shakespeare has made it clear he is interested in taking on the job full time.Nevertheless, Leicester's bosses are drawing up a shortlist of possible candidates, and they plan to reassess the situation after Saturday's game, when they have a 10-day gap before the Champions League, last-16 second leg against Sevilla.
