Drinkwater joins Chelsea

Danny Drinkwater is officially a Chelsea player after today completing a transfer from Leicester City and signing a five-year-contract.
The 27-year-old midfielder becomes our sixth senior signing of the summer following the arrivals of Willy Caballero, Antonio Rudiger, Tiemoue Bakayoko, Alvaro Morata and also tonight, Davide Zappacosta.
Drinkwater said: ‘I’m delighted to be a Chelsea player and can’t wait to get started. It has been a long journey to get here but I am very happy and am looking forward to helping the club win more trophies.’
Technical director Michael Emenalo added: ‘Danny is not only a Premier League winner but also has Champions League experience which will be invaluable for us this season. He is a typically combative English midfielder with a cultured passing technique and his arrival significantly strengthens our midfield options.’.

MAN UTD TO SIGN KROOS AND VARANE

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is preparing a sensational move for Real Madrid duo Toni Kroos and Raphael Varane in the summer transfer window, according to Spanish publication Don Balon.

Kroos is reportedly unsettled in the Spanish capital, despite recently signing a new long-term deal at the club, and is being targeted to partner Paul Pogba in the United midfield.
Mourinho is also looking to shore up his defence at Old Trafford, and sees Varane, who he presented with his Real Madrid debut during his stint at the La Liga club, as a possible candidate.

ARSENAL PLAN FOR ALEXIS DEPARTURE

Arsenal expect Alexis Sanchez to leave this summer and are already planning for life without the Chilean, according to the Daily Mail.

Alexis is out of contract in 2018 and is yet to sign a new deal, leaving the Gunners to identify Alexandre Lacazette, Andre Silva and Marco Reus as their top targets to replace him

SEVILLA TO RETURN SANCHEZ TO SPAIN Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez has been heavily linked with a move to China and Serie A, but the Daily Star claim Sevilla are ready to take the former Barcelona man back to Spain. The Chilean is a big fan of his former national team boss Jorge Sampaoli and could be reunited with the Argentine coach in La Liga.
