The full-back is believed to have asked for a meeting with the Portuguese coach at United's training complex on Monday and was later seen checking in to the team hotel ahead of Tuesday night's clash against Everton at Old Trafford.
Record signing Paul Pogba, who has missed United's last two games with a hamstring complaint, was also present.

Liverpool fear lengthy Mane absence as injury proves worse than expected

Jurgen Klopp had hoped to have an ETA by now, but swelling has obstructed medical scans

Liverpool could be without star man Sadio Mane for several weeks, according to widespread reports, as doctors have thus far been unable to determine the severity of this knee injury picked up in a challenge with Leighton Baines in the Merseyside derby

Spartak Moscow Not Keen On Emenike Return

Fenerbahce striker Emmanuel Emenike could still stay in Turkey after a Spartak Moscow chief revealed that the former Super Eagles striker is not their priority.

Spartak president Ilya Gerkus insisted on Tuesday that the Russian side are yet to make any official offer for Emenike, but admitted there could be need to re-open talks with Fener in the summer.

According to Turkish outlet Fanatik, Fenerbahce seem to be making Emenike’s exit difficult after they failed to reach an agreement with several suitors that showed interest in the player during the January transfer window.

The Moscow club are expected to make an approach in the summer, but Fenerbahce are refusing to agree with Ilya Gerkus over what the club should earn in the deal and have failed to comment publicly whether they will still consider the offer for Emenike, who has scored 19 goals so far since joining Fenerbahce.

"We have not made a formal offer so far, but conditions may change at the end of the season," Gerkus was quoted as saying by Fanatik. "Ari is currently hiring a lease and if we cannot agree with him at the end of the season, we can think of Emenike. We can talk again when we talk. "

Should Fenerbahce succeed in selling Emenike to Spartak in the summer, the Turkish side will earn a referral fee for the transfer and will be saved from annual 2.5m euros paid to Emenike

Jose Mourinho needs five points to better worst Man Utd home Premier League points return

An eighth draw at Old Trafford on Saturday leaves Manchester United with work to do to avoid a worst-ever Premier League home points return this season.

United's travelling supporters have often serenaded the team with their own version of Herman's Hermits classic "I'm into something good" this campaign, gleefully declaring Jose Mourinho has got United playing "the way they should", and with 27 points away from Old Trafford, a points haul bettered only by Manchester City and league leaders Chelsea, they are well within their rights to be so buoyant.

Arsenal 'forgot to celebrate' goals against Man City, claims club legend Henry

The Gunners hit back on two occasions to take a point after a 2-2 draw at Emirates Stadium, but there was a subdued reaction to finding the target

Thierry Henry has suggested that Arsenal “forgot” to celebrate after battling their way to a 2-2 draw with Manchester City.
The Gunners twice fell behind in a Premier League encounter at Emirates Stadium, but hit back to claim a point.
Theo Walcott restored parity after Leroy Sane's opener with a prodded finish from close range and Shkodran Mustafi headed home to make it 2-2 later on but Henry feels the reaction to the goals was "weird".

Iago Aspas on Liverpool, Luis Suarez and being crazy about Celta Vigo

Aspas gradually became a regular in the side. He scored 23 goals as Celta gained promotion to La Liga in 2013, and continued to find the net in the Spanish top flight, alerting Brendan Rodgers and the Liverpool hierarchy.
In June 2013, after an initial delay following a dispute with his agent, Aspas was on the plane to England - a move he insists was impossible to resist.
"It is always difficult to leave your home," says Aspas. "It's not just the club that you love, I also have my family here, my friends, but it was a very good opportunity for me. I wanted to have the experience of playing in another league, especially in the Premier League. To be able to do it in Liverpool, a historic club in Europe, was something incredible."
Iago Aspas' time in England isn't remembered too fondly by Liverpool fans, but in Galicia he is very much a local hero. The Celta Vigo striker speaks to Sky Sports about his time at Anfield, playing with "spectacular" Luis Suarez, saving Celta as a teenager, and returning to play in his "house" years later...
